Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu, one of the Philippines’ premier resorts, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary since opening its doors in 1993. To commemorate this significant milestone, the resort has launched a new product that pays homage to the beautiful island of Cebu and its famous sweet and juicy mangoes.

    The resort has partnered with R&M Preserves, one of the largest dried mango manufacturers in the country, to create limited-edition chocolate-coated dried mangoes. These sweet delights aim to transport guests and patrons to a tropical paradise and remind them of life’s sweet moments. The new product also comes in beautiful packaging created with Cebuano artist Bree Esplanada. The packaging features intricate hand-drawn images that capture the vibrant culture of Cebu.


    
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these deluxe edition products will be donated towards the completion of the construction of the Gilutungan Integrated School, located on Gilutungan Island, Cordova. The school is home to nearly 500 elementary and high school students, and due to its location, it faces problems with limited learning facilities, and electrical and water supply. The resort aims to support the school’s development and positively impact the local community.
